Liberty has always been in danger, but lately its situation has been alarming. In recent decades there has been a worldwide rise of rulers who have come to power with leftist ideologies. In short, they increase the power of the state to the detriment of the freedom of its citizens.
Reform by reform, they are hindering a true free market, reducing the freedoms of individuals, and bringing more misery to their countries, always with a bunch of excuses.
Below are some points to watch out for in left-wing ideology.
The socialist utopia
Leftist leaders are not evaluated by the poor results they have, but by their intentions. For them prosperity will always be in the future, and never in the present. It is like the leader of a boat on the high seas, ordering his subordinates to infintely row to reach an ever distant star on the horizon.

These leaders increase the power of the state by reducing the freedoms of their citizens. It is indirectly proportional. They do it because they believe they have all the solutions to human problems, and that citizens are immature children who must be controlled, as in a kindergarten.

Collectivism
Leaders have many propagandists, usually disguised as journalists or “independent” news channels with alternative versions of reality. Those leaders in power use the very apparatus of state communication to embellish their mandate which contrasts sharply with reality.
