José Refugio López
José Refugio López is an independent business consultant, he worked as a consultant for Tennessee Associates International, Motorola University and the Productivity Center of Monterrey. He has given several workshops in the USA, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Panama, Venezuela, Peru, Costa Rica and Honduras, for companies such as: National City Bank, Pepsico, Grupo Cañuelas, Chuquicamata, Empresa Nacional de Minería, Exxon, NISSAN, BIMBO, Nesté, Xerox, MASECA, DEACERO, Coca Cola, Monsanto, Brisas Hotels & Resorts, Cementos Cruz Azul, Calzado Andrea, Citigroup, TF Victor, Daimler-Chrysler, Chamberlain, Donaldson, Sara Lee, Texas Instruments, Grupo Industrial Saltillo, GNP, Cementos del Yaqui, Celanese, General Electric, Bancomer, Elevadores OTIS, INEGI, Quaker-La Azteca, Frío Express, Cooper Standard, BIG Cola, COFETEL, La Huerta, and for Federal, State and Municipal Governments in Mexico.
He was Director of Human Resources and Planning at Grupo Barba Apparel International, and at Vitro Corporativo he held different positions related to Total Quality, Organizational Development and Technological Development.
He has specialized in the Seven Management Tools, is certified in the “Myers Briggs Type Indicator”, was an evaluator of the Nuevo Leon Quality Award, has participated as a speaker at several national and international conferences such as: The World Future Society Conference in Minneapolis. The Community Leadership Association in Tucson AZ and the OD Network Conference, San Francisco Cal. He is the author of the Vision Web workshop as well as several didactic exercises. His Vision Web workshop is used in several Universities in the USA as well as in companies and governmental agencies in the USA, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and Dubai. His most recent workshop is The Power of Liberty, which teaches about free societies.
He studied a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering specializing in Productivity – Quality at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education; he attended the “Program for Quality Management” in Tokyo, Japan, as well as several programs and diploma courses in the USA and Mexico on Total Quality. He is currently a member of “The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship” (AOTS) of Tokyo, Japan.
